I'm back and I'm excited to discuss with you about today's leadership development topic based on the Social Change Model.
Based on the Social Change Model (diagram below), we've already knocked out the subcomponent titled "Consciousness of Self" from the individual perspective by identifying your top 3 core values.
In this blog post, we will be focusing on the two subcomponents "Commitment" and "Congruence." In this leadership development activity for this blog post, the goal is to find out how often we abide by our core values. Our personal values are more than just words you really like. Our personal values drive our day to day decisions. They are the basic beliefs that determine how we interact in the world. Have you ever considered how your personal values impact the way you navigate the world? Check out the chart provided below followed by one of my core values as an example.

Sometimes whenever I ask too many questions, it'll sometimes be at the wrong time when other's may be on a time-crunch. Therefore tension and frustration may be developed in the other. The other person could perceive me as annoying, or being incompetent, or just trying to be difficult.
Some things are easier said than done. How do you directly tell someone that you're about to fire them? How do you directly tell someone that you want to break up with them, because you just simply lost interest in them?
As someone who has auditory processing, direct communication is critical. The more clear and direct communication is to me, the better and more relieved I feel about myself and the situation.
